Blog Update - at Jen's request!:-)

Well, my big project is done! I am so relieved and excited. It went off really well. I was super stressed about it last night. Stressed about social situations translates into me actually dressing up and putting on make-up. This caused me to rush to JCPenney's and do a whirlwind shopping trip (because I had no time!) last night. God was really blessing me because I found a pair of slacks that I really like, but no jacket to go with them. I freaked out a little, but decided I'd just wear my old brown suit I've been wearing since the Michigan Prayer Breakfast (see the trend...?) BUT it perfectly matched the black coat I had at home that I had had trouble before finding slacks to match (and then the closest ones split....At least they split BEFORE I got to work and not WHILE I was there!) It's a silly little thing, but God cares about small things too right?

It was a pretty exciting morning. I shook the Governor and her husband's hands and the hand of Ambassador Tony Hall. Pretty exciting stuff. We got lots of Senators and Representatives there and everyone seemed to enjoy the event a lot. I really glad, because when things go smoothly my boss looks good and that makes me happy He's a great person and deserves all the honor he gets as far as I'm concerned. Everything went so smoothly. It was a lot of hard work, but it really did pay off. I had to do a little uncomfortable small talk with the Ambassador and a friend of his afterwards, but that's fine. I just always want to talk about deeper stuff, but I'm not sure how to get past the uncomfortable small talk to get to it, especially with people who are so successful. Ah well, I'll have lots of stories for when I have children ("Guess who Mommy got to meet?") and for annoying namedropping among my peers.
